The Carthage Bulldogs and the Daingerfield Tigers are looking to make history as they enter the 2010 football season. The Bulldogs and the Tigers are each coming off back to back state championships in 2008 and 2009. The titles were the first two in school history for the Bulldogs. While the Tigers captured their fourth and fifth titles. But, now both East Texas teams are seeking to accomplish what only an elite few have accomplished before: win three titles in a row. Only eleven teams have accomplished this feat. Here is a list of those teams who have won at least three consecutive state championships and the years they won those titles:
